Al-Futtaim Logistics receives Integrated Management Systems certification
Al-Futtaim Logistics has been awarded Integrated Management Systems (IMS) certification, in accordance with international industry standards, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
The certification and audit body from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) assessed Al-Futtaim Logistics' IMS and found it to be in accordance with the standard requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Occupational Health and Safety Assessment (OHSAS).
The scope of the IMS certification encompasses all services provided by Al-Futtaim Logistics, including freight forwarding, general transportation, contract logistics and automotive logistics, and covers all of Al-Futtaim Logistics' facilities, from the Head Office at Jebel Ali to its eight branch offices across the UAE.
ISO certification confirms fulfilment of quality management systems in achieving customer satisfaction for the services it provides, while OHSAS demonstrates the organisation's conscious determination to safeguard its employees and the environment from harmful incidents and potential hazards. The yearlong journey in preparation for IMS certification is testimony to the great support, effort and dedication shown by Al-Futtaim Logistics' associates and management team.
