In its capacity as a full spectrum logistics organisation with humanitarian support capability, Al-Futtaim Logistics acts in partnership with non-governmental organisations (NGO) and United Nations (UN) entities, utilising its expertise in the arena of peacetime natural disasters and during times of conflict, which includes world-wide network coverage through strong partners in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, and Asia Pacific.

For over a decade, Al-Futtaim Logistics has partnered with renowned international and local humanitarian organisations to provide assistance for the deployment of critical relief materials to disaster stricken areas. It has played key roles in tsunami, earthquake and flood relief operations across the globe, and most recently assisted in the deployment of vehicles and humanitarian relief items within countries affected by political unrest. Al-Futtaim Logistics supports the requirements of humanitarian organisations for their fleet base management, along with customs brokerage and freight services allowing for the distribution and delivery of essential life sustaining items for people in the affected areas.

Al-Futtaim Logistics has also established inventory management systems for several NGOs at a strategically located warehouse in Dubai, enabling easier deployment and on-time requirements on the ground.

MILITARY LOGISTICS

Al-Futtaim Logistics is involved in managing the supply chain of sub-contractors to the prime contractors to NATO forces in conflict zones and provides a seamless supply route from origin to the NATO bases via a combination of ocean, air and land transport. Due to the operational scale and urgency, most of these movements necessitate the chartering of ships and aircraft to move time bound critical supplies to the forward operating bases.

Beyond this, Al-Futtaim Logistics also provides purchase order and supplier management to customers, using advanced existing IT systems and warehousing capabilities to provide order consolidation and to schedule timely deliveries from suppliers.
